World Wetlands Day Guided Walk

Join us on Sunday, February 2, 2025, for a guided wetland walk to celebrate World Wetlands Day. In collaboration with Friends of Mason Park Wetland (FOMPW), experienced FOMPW guides will educate you about the wetland’s history, bird species, how the wetland habitat supports them and much more. There will be three walks to choose from throughout the day, and registration is essential. Please specify the time of the walk you wish to join by placing the 1st, 2nd or 3rd walk in brackets after your first name in the name field when you sign up. Strathfield Council will give each participant a free water bottle.

Date: February 2, 2025

Time slots: 

9am - 10am (1st walk)                  

11am - 12pm (2nd walk)                  

2pm - 3pm (3rd walk)

Meeting point for each walk: At the far end of Mason Park Wetland carpark, which runs off Underwood Road. Participants will be given a flyer to place on their vehicle dashboards to avoid parking fines.

Stay sun safe and bring water. Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled, but a brief shower or light drizzle won’t stop us. Hope to see you there!
