World Wetlands Day Kayak & Catch Up @ Wyangala Dam

Join us as we reflect on the importance of water management from our Landcare perspective to mark World Wetlands Day. We'll also share an outline of what water-focused events we've got planned for the rest of the year.

We look forward to spending a relaxing morning in nature with you in the beautiful surrounds of Wyangala Dam.

n.b: We plan to kayak only 2-3km return, following the banks of the dam out to a swimming spot before returning back to the shore for a picnic. The shore line is rocky in parts but there are plenty of areas along the stretch we'll be visiting with easy access to the water. When: Friday 30th January

Time: Be at the meeting point at 9.30 am

Meeting Point: Wyangala Dam at the front of the main entrance

Bring: Your own Kayak & life vest. Morning tea, sun protection & a spare set of dry clothing. A towel and beach chair/ mat may also come in handy.

Fees: There is a 'per vehicle' charge to enter the park that can be paid on the day or online ahead of time: Wyangala Dam Day Pass.

NOTE:  Due to the risks involved in being around the water we recommend only those over 18 attend this event.  Participants are responsible for their own safety & wellbeing. While dogs are permitted in Wyangala park, we ask that no dogs be brought to this event.
