Price $10 AUD Get tickets

Event description

We are very excited that Peter from The Australian Worm Firm will be presenting his famous worm farming workshop at GEC as part of International Compost Awareness Week! Come along to learn all about organic soil improvement, how to start a worm farm, or how to better maintain your existing worm farm.

Peter brings a wealth of experience to our event. He is a professional worm farmer, his business manufactures the popular Worm Castle worm farm, and he grows compost worms and castings to ship all over Australia. He will demonstrate how to set up and maintain your worm farm and run a Q&A session to answer the following questions and more:

- What worms are good for my garden?
- How do I start a worm farm from scratch?
- How do I feed & water my worm farm?
- How do I harvest castings & extract?
- How do I use worm castings or organic fertiliser to start my seedlings or improve my soil?

Peter will have worm farms for sale at a small discount, and can help you set it up on the day. Please email us at coordinator@gawlerenvironmentcentre.org.au if you would like to place an order.
