Worm Farming for Garden Fertility
Description
Worm Farming for Garden Fertility
Vermiculture: Harnessing the Underground Workforce
Date: 14th May
Location: UQ Gatton Community Garden
Time: 10 am to 11 am
Workshop Overview
This workshop introduces vermiculture as a biological composting system that rapidly converts food scraps into highly plant-available fertility. Participants learn how worm farms function, how to manage them collectively, and how to use worm products effectively without over-applying or disrupting soil life.
The focus is on function, care and integration; worms are presented as part of a broader soil-building system, not a stand-alone solution.
In collaboration with and funded by the Helping Hands Network Foundation
