Woven - Intentional communities conference
Event description
You're invited...
to be part of continuing and emerging conversations at the Intentional Residential Communities Conference WOVEN this Anzac Day weekend (24-27 April) at Moora Moora in Victoria's Yarra Valley. Friday and Saturday will be just for those who live in intentional residential communities or those in the planning stages. Sunday will be an opportunity for the wider community to engage with the community living wisdom of those gathered, through interactive showcase events. Events will commence with a welcome meal on Thursday night, allowing you time to settle in before the opening celebration on Friday morning.Â
The theme of Woven has got our creative juices flowing and, alongside interactive discussions, there will be creative wellbeing activities throughout the gathering and live music you can dance to in the evenings. You can get a glimpse of our previous gathering in 2013 through this video.Â
Accommodation will be BYO camping, however limited dorm style accommodation is available for those travelling from interstate. We also have a couple of rooms reserved for those with access needs. Please contact us at events@mooramoora.org.au if you would like to book accommodation. Please note that, as we have a Trust for Nature covenant on the land, no dogs or cats are allowed (apart from assistance/service dogs).
We will have a couple of food vans and a chai tent available throughout the weekend and there will also be a cooking circle, where you can prepare your own food, that you have brought with you. Please note, Moora Moora is approximately 20 mins drive from the nearest shops and we are hoping to limit vehicle movement throughout the weekend.
We're excited about the program that's coming together (and thank those who have volunteered to host sessions). Click 'interested' or 'going' on the event page to be kept up to date.Â
We look forward to rich conversations, as we welcome you to our mountaintop home.
