Part of the Write on Site Pop!Up series from Write Pittsburgh. For writers ages 13 and up.

About the workshop:

The Intimacy of Place: Cultivating a Familiarity with the Wilds
What does it mean to cultivate a deep intimacy with place, building and maintaining relationships of noticing, visiting, and revisiting the wilds around us? Join Lyss Cypher from Write Pittsburgh for a workshop where we will develop methods to write on our intimacy with place, a version of the wilds that is unique and special to our individual lives and experiences, whether that be a room, a yard or garden, a neighborhood, a favorite walk, a cityscape or nature escape, etc.

Note on logistics:
  • Participants with mobility-specific disabilities are encouraged to contact info@writepittsburgh.com ahead of time so that we can adapt our plans to the needs of our writers.
  • In the case of light rain, we will continue the workshop, so bring an umbrella or rain jacket if the weather looks drippy.
