Write Your Own Adventure
Ages: Children aged 8-12
When: Mondays 3:30-4:30pm
Term 2 dates: Monday 1 May to Monday 26 June (8 weeks) - no workshop on 12 June
Cost: $150 for the term or $19 for each meeting
Where: Good Earth Bookshop, Wentworth Falls, Dharug and Gundungurra Country
About the class:
Students will work on developing characters, creating environments, and learn elements of storytelling while writing their own “Choose Your Own Adventure” story. At the end of the 9 weeks their stories will be compiled and printed in a book they can keep.
About the facilitator:
Sharon Baldwin is the founder of Loose Parts Press, an independent children’s publishing company. She is also the author of 13 children’s books and also teachers “Page to Stage” drama workshops in Lawson. She has two decades of experience teaching creative workshops for children around art, drama, writing and nature, including five years as the director of Sydney Creative Play.
