There's magic in turning what we carry into words. Writing as Alchemy is a gentle, guided session in creative writing, journalling, poetry and microstories; an intimate space to explore expression and emotional processing through the pen and paper.

Settle in with a cuppa and something sweet from Chai Chai Teahouse as you write, reflect and let the words move through you. No experience necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to show up and be witnessed as you are.

You'll leave this workshop with a journal and pen of your own, and (hopefully) some inspiration so the practice can continue long after our session ends.

A mental health accredited social worker will be joining us for the session, think of them as our emotional fairy godmother. This isn't a therapy session and isn't designed to be a big emotional excavation or catharsis, but writing can sometimes stir things up when we least expect it, and we want you held and supported if it does.

Please note that you DO NOT need to call yourself a "writer" or consider yourself creative in any way to join us for this workshop. Everyone has a story to tell and your words matter, so let this space help you bring them out onto the page.
