Writing Light and Shadow with Moments of Illumination – workshop with Amanda Scotney

In this workshop participants will explore the theme of light and shadow to create a short piece of fiction or poetry with a moment of illumination.

We will consider how light works, and how it is used in art and creative writing. Inspiration will be drawn from photos, quotes and readings from Minds Shine Bright anthologies that resonate with this year's festival theme, Light in the Dark.

You will be guided through a structured process to craft your piece. Towards the end of the workshop you are invited to read your piece to the group.
