Event description

This Mental Health Month, join author and creative writing teacher, Dr Gemma Nisbet for a practical writing workshop, using memory objects to explore feelings and memories.

Gemma Nisbet is a Western Australian writer, living and working on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja. Formerly a journalist and The West Australian’s book reviewer, she has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Western Australia and teaches Creative Writing and Literary Studies at universities. Her first book, The Things We Live With: Essays on Uncertainty (Upswell), was shortlisted for the 2024 WA Premier’s Prize for an Emerging Writer.
