WSU Clothes and Resources Swap
Event description
WSU Clothes and Resources Swap
Organised by the Festival of Action team, the WSU Clothes and Resources Swap is all about rethinking how we share, care, and show up for each other in the face of climate crisis and everyday inequality.
Happening on 7 August 2025 at Western Sydney University, this event is open to students, staff, and members of the wider community. Swap clothes, books, homewares, and study resources—no money, no pressure. Just bring what you can and take what you need.
Throughout the day, we’ll also be running hands-on workshops on mending and repairing clothes, exploring the culture and politics of what we wear, and reflecting on how consumption connects to justice, care, and community.
This isn’t just a swap—it’s an act of resistance against fast fashion, rising costs of living, and throwaway culture. It’s about community, connection, and making campus a place where everyone belongs.
Come as you are, bring what you can, and leave with something useful, something joyful—or both.
