Wurundjeri Cultural Education Day


Event description

The Upper Deep Creek Landcare Network invites you to a cultural education session by the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation. This session will include information on how landholders can identify and protect Aboriginal Cultural Heritage they may find on their property.

A Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony, and tour of the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage listed greenstone quarry site, Will-im-ee Moor-ing (i.e. Mount William Stone Axe Quarry) will be included.

Will-im-ee Moor-ing (Mount William Stone Axe Quarry) is a site of important cultural heritage significance to the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung People.

This event is particularly aimed at landholders in the Mount William / Lancefield areas, with the aim of learning more about the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage of the local area.
