A SPECIAL EVENING WITH PRODUCER MARK GORDON

We are honored to welcome acclaimed producer Mark Gordon, who will personally introduce Saving Private Ryan and share a behind-the-scenes perspective on the creation of this landmark film.

Gordon was a producer of Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture for the film.

He hopes to be joined for the evening by Robert Rodat, the film's Academy Award-nominated screenwriter, whose screenplay brought the unforgettable story of Captain John Miller and his men to the screen.

Together, their participation would offer an extraordinary opportunity to hear directly from two of the people responsible for creating one of cinema's most powerful portrayals of World War II.

SAVING PRIVATE RYAN

Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan is widely regarded as one of the defining World War II films of modern cinema.

Set during the Allied invasion of Normandy, the film follows Captain John Miller and a squad of American soldiers sent behind enemy lines to locate Private James Ryan after his three brothers have been killed in action.

Known for its extraordinary depiction of the D-Day landings and its exploration of courage, sacrifice, duty and the human cost of war, Saving Private Ryan received 11 Academy Award nominations and won five, including Best Director for Steven Spielberg.

This special screening offers the opportunity to experience the film in a theater with an audience — and to hear directly from one of the filmmakers who helped bring it to life.

Mark Gordon
Producer, Saving Private Ryan

Mark Gordon is one of the entertainment industry's most accomplished film and television producers, with more than 100 productions to his credit.

As a producer of Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan, Gordon received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture and a BAFTA nomination for Best Film, while the film won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture — Drama.

His extensive film credits also include Speed, The Patriot, The Day After Tomorrow, Steve Jobs, Molly's Game, Source Code, and Murder on the Orient Express. In television, Gordon has been behind acclaimed and long-running series including Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds, and Ray Donovan.

A former president of the Producers Guild of America and a two-time Emmy Award winner, Gordon has also received the Guild's prestigious Norman Lear Award for Achievement in Television.

On April 5, Gordon will offer a rare firsthand perspective on the making of Saving Private Ryan and the creation of a film that has become one of cinema's defining portrayals of World War II.
