WWQ International Women's Day Breakfast 2026
Description
Event description
Working Women Queensland (WWQ), a program of Basic Rights Queensland, is delighted to announce our International Women’s Day Breakfast, to be held at 7:00am on Tuesday 10 March 2026 at the Victoria Park Function Centre.
This year’s event celebrates the UN Women International Women’s Day theme, Balance the Scales — a call to action inviting individuals, communities and industries to play their part in advancing gender equality.
Our breakfast will highlight the vital work of WWQ as we honour the progress made by women before us and acknowledge the challenges that remain before true gender equality is realised.
Guests will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded feminists, sector leaders and community members as we explore the essential role that access to justice plays in balancing the scales.
A powerful speaker line-up will be announced in the new year.
Secure your place today, your support helps create workplaces where all women have the rights, safety and opportunity they need to thrive.

This event will be hosted on the unceded lands of the Yuggera and Turrbul peoples. Basic Rights Queensland acknowledges that sovereignty was never ceded, and pays our respects to elders past and present. In particular, we pay our respects to the Yuggera and Turrbul matriarchs whose legacy of caring for country and community we all continue to benefit from to this day.
