ACORES - AUSTRALIAN CARDIO-ONCOLOGY RESEARCH & EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM
Description
Cardio-oncology is a rapidly evolving discipline dedicated to preventing, detecting, and managing cardiovascular complications in people living with and beyond cancer. Cancer survivors face a significantly higher burden of cardiovascular disease due to the cardiac effects of cancer treatments as well as shared risk factors. As cancer survival improves, cardiovascular health becomes increasingly central to long-term outcomes, underscoring the need for integrated care that supports both effective cancer treatment and lifelong heart health.
The Inaugural ACORES Meeting aims to establish a multidisciplinary network spanning cardiology, oncology, haematology, radiation oncology, pharmacy, and allied health.
This two-day event will bring together national and international experts, offering opportunities for collaboration, cutting-edge research, best-practice clinical presentations, and the continued development of Australia’s cardio-oncology community.
