Wybie's House Concert - White Dog single launch
After a memorable and successful house concert in 2021 for the release of their debut EP, Wybie returns in full-band form to launch their new single, White Dog, from their upcoming EP Ashbourne.

Wybie is a genre-defying freak-folk band based in Naarm/Melbourne. Conceived in frontperson Kyle Muir’s bedroom as a solo home recording project in 2020, Wybie has since blossomed into a fully fledged four-piece ensemble. Wybie’s music has an odd magic, blurring the borders between folk storytelling, art-rock and experimental production.

At the heart of Wybie’s music is Muir’s unique songwriting, which blends nostalgia with the surreal. His lyrics often explore the magical and bizarre moments of growing up —like dreams about flying in hot air balloons or accidentally driving your dad’s car down a hill.

Tonight they launch their single White Dog, from their upcoming EP Ashbourne .

Opening for Wybie will be Sliced Diamonds.

Oscar and Mars starting making up songs together in 2022, recording early works such as
    Hit my Nose
and Bronze tomato on mum’s phone. They soon enlisted Ben and Lucien,
recorded some full band songs on dad’s computer, and started playing them live. Lava
    Rain
(available via their Bandcamp page below) was picked up by 3RRR radio. For their
first gig (with the Mods in 2023) their friends Hazel and Jeannie designed some awesome
merch. They are now writing more songs for their first album, and eating lots of peanut
    butter at band practice.
