    This event has passed Register

    Event description

Join in some fun whilst trying out a new sport - Great for all ages to play together. Have a go at Melbourne Disc Golf Club's Come and Try session.

    What is Disc Golf?

Disc Golf involves throwing the disc (like a frisbee) from the starting spot (Tee) towards a metal basket on a pole (Pole Hole) - it takes quite a few throws to get from the start to landing it in the basket (a Putt)! A disc golf course has a number of 'holes' for you to try and is a fun activity that can be enjoyed by all ages together.

What happens at the Come and Try Session?

You will be shown how to hold, throw and 'putt' the disc using a practice pole, and learn safety rules to help everyone enjoy the course. Once you feel confident you will be encouraged to try out the Disc Golf course.

Come down to have a quick go and see what it's like, stay for longer if you enjoy it. The course is in two parts, so you can do as much as you like. It may take approximately 1 hour to do the whole course.

You may join in at any time between 1:00 and 2:00pm, however to provide a guide as to when people are arriving please book a ticket for an approximate arrival time.

This is a family activity with adults taking part with their children, each adult and child taking part needs to register; adults are required to stay with their children.

    Trial Disc Golf Course

The Come and Try is taking place at a Disc Golf course  available for all to use anytime. Please ensure you use the QR code located on the sign at the beginning of the course to log each time that you attend, this will help us to identify if there is a need for a permanent Disc Golf course in Wyndham.
