Wyrmscale - Prologue

Tales of a rare treasure from far flung shores have reached the King’s Court. The power it promises threatens the delicate balance of peace on the continent by fueling the Stravin Empire's expansive ambitions. Envoys of the guilds have gathered their most intrepid explorers in the outlying Islands of The Anderlynds, answering a call from the King for privateers to intercept the Empire’s precious cargo, and uncover its source.

This meeting with the most influential people in Anderlynd is an opportunity in itself for budding adventurers. The gathering is ripe with potential for bargains that will have a far reaching impact on the journey to come. Every endeavour needs investors, every plan needs intel, and every traveller needs an ally back home who has their back. Beyond courtly intrigue several swashbuckling missions will need to be completed to ensure success in the voyage ahead.

Wyrmscale’s Prologue day game is happening on the evening of the 28th of November at Kiwanis Camp (1331 Huia Road, Huia). The Prologue is intended to help ease attendees into the setting and rules as well as provide a taste of the types of encounters you can expect in the full weekend game. Players write their own character and need to have it submitted and approved by a month before the game. Crew will be cast as prewritten parlour LARP style NPCs as well as some smaller and combat roles. Look to the People of Note section in the Setting Guide for a sample of the characters you could be playing!

There will be light refreshments served at the game. In addition to getting a spot in the Prologue game, any players and crew joining the expedition from the start will also receive links to their equivalent Early Access tickets for the weekend game before they are released to the wider public. 

Crew will have access to our shared costume library, though your are welcome to bring your own as well. Players are responsible for bringing their own character’s costume and safety-approved gear. Dress to impress the King’s Court, but ensure you are ready for some swashbuckling action!

There is limited parking available at Kiwanas. We highly recommend carpooling with your fellow adventurers where possible.
