Investing in Our Future: YACWA's 2027-28 State Budget Priorities
Description
YACWA is excited to showcase our advocacy priorities in the lead-up to the 2027-28 State Budget on Tuesday 3 November, from 9:30 am - 11:30 am at the City of Perth Library Auditorium.
YACWA's Pre-Budget Submissions are a central mechanism of our advocacy work, informing the State Government on young people's and the youth sector's funding priorities for the upcoming financial year. Our Submission outlines various pathways for Government-led initiatives to improve the lives of young people and the communities supporting them, and has been informed by our ongoing collaborations with WA’s youth sector and insights from young people.
The event will include a presentation on YACWA’s priorities for the 2027-28 State Budget, a youth-led panel discussion featuring individuals involved in our consultations, and a speech from Hon. Matthew Swinbourn, Minister for Homelessness and Community Services, along with light refreshments and opportunities for networking. This is a great opportunity for the youth sector to come together and highlight the growing need for investment in the upcoming State Budget.
For our friends in the regions, there will be an option to attend online; however, the networking capacity will be limited.
Please RSVP for the Pre-Budget Submission launch before Monday 26 October. If you have any questions, please contact our Policy and Advocacy Officer, Alicia Keenan, via email at alicia@yacwa.org.au or call 9227 5440.
