Yangahla Lookout - Lamington National Park
Event description
Yangahla Lookout - Guided Walk: Wed 05 July 2023
Yangahla LookoutÂ
5km / 2-3 hour return walk (grade 3)
Enjoy one of the best view points over Numinbah Valley and towards the Gold Coast in the East. The track featues minor creek crossings, towering hoop pines, and volcanic geological features. The two lookouts provide excellent views into Numinbah Valley, the Shipstern Ridge, Egg Rock, Turtle Rock, Hinze Dam, and the Gold Coast. Our walk follows the beginning of the Lower Bellbird/Shipstern track, leading us 2.5km to Yangahla lookout, passing the Koolanbilba viewpoint enroute. Upon arriving at Yangahla, settle in for morning tea. On our return, we follow the same track as we cross in and out of the subtropical rainforest and glimpse the palpable changes in bushfire-affected sclerophyll forest.
$49 - includes morning tea
