Yardhura Walani Annual Oration
Event description
Join us for the Yardhura Walani Annual Oration, delivered by the esteemed Pat Anderson AO. From health justice and self-determination, to community-led and culturally-led service success, this oration will explore the transformative impact of authentic leadership and the importance of responding to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices in policy and practice. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities, triumphs and ongoing efforts that define this vital work.
Following the oration, Pat Anderson will be joined by Yardhura Walani's Directors: Ms Fiona Cornforth, Associate Professor Lisa Whop and Professor Ray Lovett - for a rich conversation unpacking key themes, sharing diverse perspectives and exploring the intersection of research, policy and lived-experience. The panel offers attendees a unique opportunity to witness collaborative thinking in action. The evening will provide space to share reflections, ask questions and participate in the exchange of ideas. Canapes and drinks will be served. Whether you are a researcher, a student, a policymaker, or simply curious about community-oriented health and wellbeing solutions, this event promises to inform, inspire and ignite action.
This is an in-person event.
