    Event description

Take this opportunity to support a cherished friend and collaborating artist of Ochre Dawn, Elizabeth Close, following a brain tumor diagnosis. Elizabeth is a Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara multi-disciplinary Visual Artist, whose vibrant and powerful artworks have graced many Reconciliation Action Plans, murals and interiors.

Recently, Elizabeth received the devastating news of a brain tumour located on her frontal lobe. The diagnosis has shaken her world, as well as the lives of her husband and three beautiful children. Following her recent surgery, the road ahead is daunting. In the coming months, Elizabeth will need to focus all her energy on her healing journey, limiting her ability to work. This sudden loss of income adds an extra layer of stress and worry during an already challenging time.

We know that many of you have been touched by Elizabeth's art and her spirit. Now is the time to come together and support her. This month's Yarn & Sip is all about just that; showing Elizabeth our generosity and support. It will make a world of difference to Elizabeth and her family. It's also a special opportunity to see her amazing artwork up close, and even be able to take it home to be cherished for years to come.

At this Yarn & Sip there will be:

    • A silent auction of originals and reproductions of Elizabeth's art
    • Products featuring Elizabeth's artwork for sale
    • A drink on arrival and nibbles (further drinks available for purchase)

All profits will go directly to Elizabeth and her family.

We look forward to seeing you there!

For those unable to attend, you can still support Elizabeth through our GoFundMe

Location: This event will be held at Jarmer's Kitchen in the Jarmer's Room, located on the ground floor. Free onsite car parking is available on Park Terrace and 5th Street.
