Yarnan 'bout Fitzroy

Acclaimed Indigenous author, activist and academic Tony Birch will kick off our evening with a few yarns about the old Fitzroy of his childhood (or whatever else he feels like talking about) followed by an open mike of people talking about struggles faced by Fitzroy people and how those struggles have made this a stronger community. Filmmaker Zoe Coldham will be there too as she prepares for her next film on the theme of community and struggle. It promises to be a very special night so make sure you are there to share reflections; whether it is the F19 struggle, housing struggles, saving our schools, pools or health services, standing up for Indigenous Australians and public housing. Let's put it all on the table and reflect on how this has and continues to make Fitzroy such a strong community.
