Yarra Ranges Council: Media Training For Young People
Event description
What to expect
Do you want to speak to the media on an issue that affects you?
Young people should be actively advocating and representing their communities in the media on issues we care about. Yet only 1% of stories in Australian mainstream media directly quote young people.
YACVic and the Yarra Ranges Council are running dedicated media training for young people aged 12 to 25. This training session provides guidance and an introduction to navigating the world of media in 2022.
This session is designed for a small group of up to 30 young people.
Who should attend
This workshop is for young people aged 12 to 25 who want to engage with the media.
YACVic is a child safe organisation. By attending these events, you agree to join us in our commitment to child safety.Â
Accessibility & Inclusion
At YACVic, we take access and inclusion seriously. We are committed to making every event as accessible and inclusive as possible for all members of our community. If you have a specific access request, would like further information or want to provide any suggestions, we would love to hear from you.
Our work takes place through the lands of the Aboriginal nations within Victoria and we pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
