Event description

Friends of Rushcutters

We are people who are interested and care about the quality of our lives and environments.

We are facing weekly warnings of climatic disasters and events locally and abroad.

We believe that action is the antidote to fear.

Together we want to build local knowledge, evidence-based research, technical studies and co-create a local, actionable plan that is community-driven, and will protect and enhance the area and beyond.

Like other concerned and committed community groups growing around the world, we have access to the expertise, passion and capability to deliver such a plan. We just need to come together to build groundswell, show support and access funding to support it.

Join us on 15 March 11:30am in the Baroda Room at the Rex Centre in Kings Cross where we will hear a presentation by Colin Finn of Blue Green discussing the possibilities for Rushcutters Bay to mitigate climate disaster, improve environmental and social health and enhance the local area for everyone.
