Yarrilinks Strategic Plan Launch and Creek Clean Up

We’re launching our new strategic plan on Clean Up Australia Day and we want you to join us! Meet at the Creekside Hotel for a walk along the creek to collect rubbish, followed by lunch, presentation of the plan, and finishing up with a quiz game on Wimmera history and ecology!

Participants who help out on the Cleanup and sign up for Yarrilinks membership will have their lunch subsidised.

Please wear sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen, and bring a water bottle and gloves. All ages are welcome but children must be under effective adult supervision at all times.

EVENT SCHEDULE

• 10:00 am: Arrive at Creekside Hotel for meet and greet and event info
• 10:15 am: Head off along the creek to clean up rubbish
• 11:30 am: Meet back at the Creekside Hotel (Library room) for rubbish audit and overview of plan
• 12:00 pm: Lunch at the Creekside Hotel 
• 1:00 pm: Trivia game and prizes!

Walk options

A jaunt along the creek doesn't suit everyone! We will offer a few different walk options for various activity levels and depending on the number of attendees:

• Longer walks: From Creekside to Borung Hwy OR Rainbow Road bridge (about 3 km return)
• Shorter walks: Lions Club Flora and Fauna park or shorter loops near the hotel (under 1km return)
• There is also the option to meet us at the Creekside Hotel carpark at 11:30 to help with the rubbish audit
