Event description

ONE PERFORMANCE ONLY! Thursday 15th June (Week 8) @ 6:30pm

Pulteney's Year 10 & 11 Drama classes are proud to present their first productions for 2023. With a collective cast & crew of 21 talented students, this is set to be an entertaining evening of laughter and thought-provoking theatre, hosted by the 2023 PGS Drama Captains, Isabella Haarsma & Talia Herbst.

DATE: Thursday 15th June

VENUE: Holden Street Theatres (34 Holden St, Hindmarsh). Free parking is available onsite at the theatre, as well as the public surrounding streets.

TIME: 6:30pm - 8:15pm. Please arrive no later than 6:20pm; the bar will be open from 6:00pm for pre-show beverages, which can be brought into the theatre.

The Year 10s will first stage two pieces: the black comedy Anxious But Not Alarmed by Scott McAteer, and then the absurdist comedy Character Analysis. In this piece, the Movie Star’s sister is missing, and the Agent doesn’t know anything about it. The Detective is determined to get to the truth, even if their Writer doesn’t want them to.

Please note that the Year 10 productions have some adult themes present, and recommended for ages 13+.

After a brief interval, the Year 11s will present The Test, exploring a group of young people as they face the trials of growing up: school, expectations, friendships, first love, and all that’s in between.

This is an eclectic mix of drama and comedy, showcasing the students’ versatility and collaboration. The senior Drama evening is a highly popular event in the Pulteney community, selling out before opening night -- so be sure to get your tickets quickly to avoid missing out! We would love your support in coming along, and hope to see you at the show!
