The skills and knowledge the two workshops will cover are:

- The purpose of the different styles of writing

- How to write an imaginative/discursive/persuasive composition

- How to write a reflection

- How to answer the question under examination conditions

It does not matter what texts you study, the workshops are catered to the module Reading to Write.

The course will be run by an outstanding English teacher who is passionate about teaching and connecting with students, helping them achieve their personal best.

About Yang

An outstanding , sought after English Teacher with decades of experience.

Yang is an experienced English teacher with more than ten years of classroom expertise and eight years of HSC marking experience. She has previously worked at Moriah College when they ranked 3rd in the state for English in 2017 and 9th in the state in 2018.

Previously, she was Assistant Head of English, Debating and Public Speaking Coordinator and the Literacy and Digital Coordinator. For the past three years, Yang was an HSC marker for the Advanced English: Module C - The Craft of Writing module and she previously marked English Extension 1, Advanced and Standard English modules.

Yang has a Bachelor Secondary Education/Bachelor Arts (English/History) and is currently studying a Master’s degree in Creative Writing at the University of Sydney.
