Jain HSC: Year 11 Physics Module 2 & 3 Crash Course
Event description
This event is running in a HYBRID format (in-person and on Zoom simultaneously), leveraging high-quality writing from an iPad and a beautiful TV in the room.
The Prelim Physics Module 2 Dynamics & Module 3 Waves and Thermo Crash Course is being delivered by Rishabh Jain, a final-year Biomedical Engineering and Science student with over 4 years of tutoring experience.

Module 2 Dynamics forms the fundamental ideas for force and acceleration, which are explored throughout Year 12. This Crash Course will cover the entire module, including:
- Newton's Laws of Motion
- Net force and equilibrium
- Friction
- The relationship between force, acceleration and energy
- Momentum and energy in simple systems, including elastic and inelastic collisions
Module 3 Waves and Thermodynamics forms the fundamental ideas to support concepts such as electromagnetism and heat transfer. This Crash Course will cover the big concepts, including:
- The types and properties of waves (e.g. transverse and longitudinal)
- Equations governing wave behaviour
- Reflection, refraction, diffraction and wave superposition
- Resonance and frequency
- The behaviour of sound waves, including the doppler effect
