Year 7 Wellbeing Conference 2025
Event description
Year 7 Wellbeing Conference
Date: Thursday 25 September 2025
Time: 9:00am – 11:00am
Location: Purruna Spencer Newton Centre Learning Studios
Over Term 3, our Year 7 students have been exploring the fascinating world of wellbeing through a scientific lens. They are investigating how the brain shapes our thoughts and behaviours, are taking part in hands-on activities such as a neuroplasticity cup stacking challenge, and are engaging in the Healthy Minds Program with Dr Nehmy.
This year, their journey as ‘honorary wellbeing scientists’ has been extended through a Wellbeing and English collaboration. Students are not only researching a topic of personal interest related to wellbeing, but are also challenged to persuade others why their findings matter. Each student will soon present their research and findings at the upcoming 2025 Scotch College Year 7 Wellbeing Conference!
Following the excitement and success from the last two years, the 2025 conference is developing into an informative and inspiring morning, showcasing the voices and passions of our Year 7 students. Parents and guardians of Year 7, alongside our Year 6 cohort, Year 12 Psychology students, and special guests, are warmly invited to join us.
We look forward to welcoming you to this year’s conference – a celebration of curiosity and wellbeing.
