Year 7 Wellbeing Conference 2026
Description
Year 7 Wellbeing Conference
Dear Year 7 families,
You are officially invited to the 2026 Scotch College Year 7 Wellbeing Conference!
Date: Thursday 24 September 2026
Time: 9:00am – 11:00am
Location: Purruna Spencer Newton Centre Learning Studios
Throughout Term 3, our Year 7 students have been exploring the world of wellbeing through a more scientific lens. They have been learning about how the brain shapes our thoughts and behaviours and engaging in the Healthy Minds Program with Dr Nehmy.
Their journey as an ‘honorary wellbeing scientist’ is kicking off through a collaboration between Wellbeing and English. Each student is about to begin researching a wellbeing topic of personal interest, before taking on the challenge of persuading others why their findings matter.
All of this will come together at the 2026 Scotch College Year 7 Wellbeing Conference, where students will have the opportunity to share their research, ideas and learning with a real audience - our community.
Following the energy of the past few years, we are looking forward to another informative and inspiring morning that puts the voices and interests of our Year 7 students at the centre. Parents and guardians of Year 7 students, alongside our Year 6 cohort, and special guests, are warmly invited to join us.
A special shout out must also go to Lena (7C), who designed this year’s fantastic Wellbeing Conference logo!
We look forward to welcoming you to this year’s conference – a celebration of curiosity and wellbeing.
