This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

The Archibald Prize for portrait painting is the country’s favourite and most significant art award. The Wynne Prize is awarded to the best landscape painting of Australian scenery, or figure sculpture, while the Sulman Prize is given to the best subject painting, genre painting or mural project in oil, acrylic, watercolour or mixed media.

Each year, Riverview is lucky to enjoy exclusive access to the Art Gallery to view the Exhibition and hear personal descriptions from a dedicated guide who explains the artworks, provides insights into the artists' context and other fascinating details.

Year 9 has been allocated a maximum of 30 spots in our own private Tour at 10:30am on Friday, 4th August. The ticket price of $35pp includes your entry ticket into the Archibald Prize exhibition and Tour.

If anyone is keen, we can meet for coffee and/or a light breakfast before the Tour at 9-9:30am at The Eatery, Terrace on the Domain, 1 Art Gallery Road, The Domain. It's next-door to the Art Gallery. Coffees and food can be purchased at The Eatery.

We hope you can join us for a lovely morning!
