Yes Chef! is a brand new cooking school for your teens, giving them the tools to bring the rigour, care and fun of a professional kitchen into their own homes.

Led by Cook Murph (from NECCHi fave Suntop Plaza), each week we'll learn how to work together, prepare nutritious meals, and build confidence in our own skills and abilities.

Each week will focus on different aspects of running a kitchen, like mise en place (French for "put in place"), safety and food hygiene, playing to our strengths (and the strengths of our team), how to work in a brigade, food storage, flavour profiles and ingredients, and cleaning up!

Held in a real commercial kitchen at Suntop Plaza, we'll focus on prepping and cooking a different meal each week, so at the end of the 4-week course, you'll come away knowing how to make lasagna, pie, cake and a roast dinner.

As you can tell, this is not your regular cooking course. We hope that through each session, we can teach each of you how to read the room, identify your strengths (and the strengths of others), and enjoy the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment that comes from cooking and helping each other. Plus, you'll come away with a delicious meal and a brand new skill to share with your family and friends.

We ask all participants to wear closed toe shoes to class. All materials and ingredients are provided for, and included in the course cost.
