Refresh Bags & Shoes
Event description
YFC are excited to run a series of Waste Wise Workshops - practical, hands-on sessions designed to help you repurpose, reduce and rethink waste.
This project is supported by funding from the Government of Western Australia and the Waste Authority.
Bag & Shoe Repair + Painting Workshop
Give your favourite accessories a fresh lease on life! This creative session combines practical repair skills with personal style flair.
Thursday 25 September 9.30-11.30am
Bring along your tired totes, scuffed boots, or faded clutches.
Hazel will show you how to restore, refresh and reimagine them using colour-matching and custom paint techniques.
Learn how to mix shades to match or contrast with your existing wardrobe, making your accessories feel brand new (without buying a thing).
It’s hands-on, joyfully creative, and guaranteed to leave you seeing your old pieces in a whole new light.
All paints will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring along:
Any old scarves, jewellery, or fabric scraps.
Bits and bobs from around the house (keyrings, ribbons, charms etc.)
These can be turned into bag charms or embellishments to personalise your pieces even further.
No experience needed, just come ready to get creative and have some fun!
Please Note - Children over 12 years may attend if accompanied by an adult. Participants attending with a companion card are requested to book one ticket and email info@yangebupfamilycentre.org so we can reserve a place.
