BIST is proud to bring together an interactive, practical workshop featuring guest speakers and facilitators from Rocket Lab, University of Waikato,Young Innovator Awards and a selection of local WBOP schools.Â

Guest presenters/facilitators include:
- Felicity Powell is Rocket Lab’s Education Lead, developing awesome learning experiences to inspire New Zealand youth to new heights. Felicity has described herself as an Education Futurist, Cultural Activist and Human Potential Hacker, and will no doubt redefine the boundaries of what is possible for Design Thinking for your students.  Â
- Dr Cathy Buntting is Director of the University of Waikato’s Wilf Malcolm Institute of Educational Research and Director of the award-winning Science Learning Hub. Her research interests straddle science, technology and STEM education across the school years, with a strong focus on innovative approaches to education in these disciplines.Â
We encourage all attendees to empower their students to participate in yia! – the WBOP’s purpose-built Design Thinking programme for students from Years 7 – 13.
