Yin and Pins
Event description
Yin Yoga, Acupuncture & Sound Healing
Join Rose, an experienced yoga teacher, sound healer, and accredited health coach, along with Dr. Nathan Chin, a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and Registered Acupuncturist, for a deeply restorative journey of Yin Yoga, acupuncture, and sound healing.
This 2-hour session is designed to support your transition into autumn, helping you restore balance, renew your energy, and cultivate deep relaxation.
What to Expect
This unique session weaves together Yin Yoga and acupuncture to enhance the flow of energy through the body’s meridians, based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). As we welcome the autumn season, we’ll focus on the qualities of release and reflection, working with the metal element—which governs the Lung and Large Intestine meridians. Our Yin practice will target the inner arms, forearms, shoulders, and neck, inviting expansion and letting go.
The session will begin with an introduction to TCM and Yin Yoga, followed by gentle breathwork and meditation to prepare the body and mind. You’ll then be guided through a sequence of long-held yin postures designed to open the meridians, creating the perfect foundation for acupuncture. As you settle into an extended savasana, Dr. Nathan will apply acupuncture to key energy points while the soothing vibrations of crystal bowls surround you, helping you drift into a state of deep relaxation and renewal.
Who is This For?
This session is perfect for anyone looking to release tension, calm the nervous system, and support their overall well-being. No prior experience with yoga or acupuncture is needed—just an open mind and the ability to get down to and up from the floor unassisted.
What to Bring
- Yoga mat & water bottle
- Comfortable clothing
- Optional: personal bolster, cushion, or blanket for extra comfort (props will be provided)
After the session, light refreshments will be offered to help you ground before heading home.
