Event description

In the heart of Port Adelaide, a new cultural destination is coming to life. Introducing Yitpi Yartapuultiku, the Soul of Port Adelaide.

Yitpi Yartapuultiku is an innovative City of Port Adelaide Enfield project that brings together Aboriginal culture, environmental sustainability, and community collaboration.

The project will transform long-neglected land into a family friendly park, complete with state-of-the-art facilities, nature playground, views of the Port River and spaces for everything from meetings to large events, festivals, and conferences.

Yitpi Yartapuultiku will be a catalyst for economic growth, generating employment and boosting tourism opportunities. The project is being planned and designed collaboratively with Aboriginal custodians and is a powerful demonstration of Reconciliation, healing and regeneration.

You’re invited to join us to hear the story of Yitpi Yartapuultiku and learn how you can be involved. Stay with us afterward to be part of a special community dinner in celebration of the invaluable contribution and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders. The dinner will be followed by a comedy extravaganza featuring hilarious First Nations comedians.

This event forms part of Nunga Week, an annual event that recognises the contribution that Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people make to the Port Adelaide Enfield community.
