    Event description

    Join us for a wonderful, magical day of 

    Yoga, Meditation & Whalewatching in Hervey Bay! 

    This is the 5th one this season! 

    Whalewatching on 'Quick Cat II' vessel

    The day includes:

    - 2 hours of Yoga & Meditation - in CWA Hall in Urangan

     - 4 hours of Whalewatching - on (Hervey Bay Whale Watch - QuickCat II)  afternoon cruise

    - Afternoon tea on cruise (lunch not included, see full schedule below for details)


    - The Yoga & meditation part of the day will be held at the CWA Hall, 19 Pulgul St, Urangan, and will be taught by fully qualified yoga teacher Kate Fallick (Yoga with Kate). 

    Kate has taught yoga for 17 years in Australia and UK and has trained extensively (including in India) to provide welcoming, safe and fun classes to everyone of all levels of experience and flexibility etc. 

    With Hervey Bay being one of the top whalewatching destinations in the world, why not gift yourself and loved ones a wholesome day full of yoga, meditation, humpback whales and friendly community -  a delightful day out! 

    Schedule:
    The Yoga & Whalewatching day goes from 9am sharp to 5pm. 

    Both yoga & Meditation will be held in the CWA Hall, 19 Pulgul St, Urangan. 

    9.00am-10.30am - Yoga

    10.30am - 10.45am - Break (fruit provided)

    10.45am - 11.15am - Meditation 

    11.15 - 11.30am - Walk or drive to Great Sandy Straits Marina (only 5-10 min walk away)

    11.30-12.40pm - Lunch* (not included in price) - see options below 

    12.45pm - We will line up to check in for 1pm departure on the lovely 'Hervey Bay Whale Watch' vessel 'Quick Cat II'. 

    1.00pm - Departure time for afternoon whale watch cruise 

    1.00pm-5.00pm
    We will have a fabulous time whalewatching for hours out in the beautiful Platypus bay, in the Great Sandy Straits where the whale migration stops for a whale holiday! 

    We will witness the humpbacks in the wild alongside the beautiful K'gari (aka Fraser Island) in the background, the biggest sand island in the world with her beautiful coloured sands and maybe even spot a dingo (wongari!). 

    There is also a chance to see other marine life such as dolphins, turtles, dugongs, depends on the day what spectacular show Mother Earth will gift us with. 

    Humpback whales are so amazing, inquisitive and love interacting with humans so here's to a wonderful, heart opening day out on the water. 

    5.00pm - Return to Marina/our day concludes. There are restaurants at the marina if you are looking for somewhere for dinner after the day out. 

    *Lunch options (Please note lunch not included in price). 
    You are invited to join us for a sit down meal at The Dock (we will pre-order meals) to ensure we have enough time.  This is what the majority of people chose last year, I will arrange the ordering of meals with you closer to the date. 

    If this option doesn't suit you, you are very welcome to BYO lunch and we will meet you after the lunch to board the boat.

    The Whalewatching tour includes:

    Experienced whale watch crew with a lovely local family who provide, informative commentary, local knowledge & history
    Complimentary tea, coffee and light nibbles
    Hydrophone equipped to listen to whale song underwater
    Fully licensed bar for snacks and beverage purchases (not included in price)
    Please note it will be a Non-smoking vessel

    *Potential option to Swim with the whales information below

    What to bring:

    Your own yoga mat (or let Kate know before the date you will need to borrow one). 

    You will not have to carry your yoga mat on the boat, I can keep in my car for you. 

    Hat
    Jacket
    Sunglasses 
    Sense of adventure
    Camera (preferably waterproof)
    Swimwear & towel (if you are planning to swim with the whales)*
    Money for drinks, snacks, souvenirs, whale swim if desired.
    EFTPOS is available on board.

    Optional Extras:
    If (and only if) the weather and whale conditions are right, then we may have the exciting opportunity to Swim with the Humpback Whales - Please note this is an extra $100.00 per person to be paid directly to the HBWW (boat) staff during the tour (Weather permitting & conditions apply)
