In-Person Class Information

What to Bring

A yoga mat (if you don't have one, I can lend you a mat for your trial class)
A blanket for the relaxation at the end of class
Water to drink
A cushion if you have a sore neck
A pillow or bolster if you experience lower back discomfort
Comfortable clothing that allows you to move and stretch with ease
In colder months, warm layers and socks

If this is your first class, please arrive 5 minutes before the start time.

Finding the Church Hall

The yoga class is held in the church hall, which is located behind the church.

From Beecroft Road:
As you face the front doors of the church, look to your right. You will see a pathway running alongside the church. Follow this path to the church hall and enter through the glass doors.

From the car park:
If you are approaching from the rear car park, face the church buildings and look for the pathway on the left-hand side. This will lead you directly to the hall.

Parking

Church Car Park

Limited parking is available behind the church.

Access is via 129 Copeland Road (Uniting Copeland Gardens Retirement Village). Simply drive towards the boom gates and they will open automatically as you approach.

Beecroft Village Parking

Free 3-hour parking is available at Beecroft Place/Woolworths, along with additional 2-hour parking throughout Beecroft Village. The venue is approximately a 5-minute walk from the shopping centre.

The class begins at 7:00pm.

The Zoom room will open approximately 5 minutes before class so you can join early and settle in.

Having Trouble Connecting?

If you experience any difficulties connecting to Zoom, please call me on 0413 403 449 before 7:00pm.

Once class begins, my phone will be on silent, so I may not be able to answer. You are welcome to send a text message and I'll do my best to assist before class starts.

You will automatically be placed on mute when you enter the Zoom room.

Before Class

Please have the following ready:

A yoga mat or comfortable space to move
A blanket for relaxation
Water to drink
Any cushions, blocks, or props that help you feel comfortable
A quiet space where you can move safely without interruption

Safety First

This is a hybrid class, which means I will be teaching both online participants and students attending in person.

As I won't be able to see you as clearly as I can in a face-to-face class, it is important that you take extra responsibility for your own wellbeing.

Please remember to:

Listen to your body at all times
Move gently and stay within your own comfort zone
Respect your current level of flexibility, strength, and energy
Ask questions whenever you need clarification
Move away from pain and towards comfort at all times

A good yoga practice should leave you feeling better, not worse. If something doesn't feel right, please stop, rest, or modify the movement.

By attending this online class, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own health, safety, and wellbeing during the practice. Please exercise good judgment and only participate in movements that feel appropriate for you.
