Yoga By Bike East Linton
Event description
Join Detour for a social bike ride and yoga practice in East Linton, on Sunday 28th September! Our events aim to bring people together to be active, mindful, and connected to the outdoors.
We will meet at The Yoga Den at 10am and cycle around 12 miles to Tyninghame Beach and back, with plenty of stops to chat, hydrate and enjoy the scenery. The route will follow country lanes, cycleways and gravel/forest tracks.
When we arrive back at The Mart there will be a break, with lovely local shops and cafes to enjoy.
Jorja will then lead a Vinyasa Yoga class 1-2pm, suitable for all levels. Class will begin with grounding, breathwork and gentle mobilisation, before building into more dynamic flows. The practice will gradually wind down through calming postures and savasana.
What to bring:
A bike
A yoga mat (you can drop this off before the cycle)
A helmet
A lock for your bike
Warm layers and waterproofs (just in case!)
A bottle of water and some snacks
The session will be led by Jorja Follina, a Dance Artist and Movement Teacher who completed her 200 hour Astanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Sampoorna Yoga India. Jorja has attended Cycling Scotland's Ride Leader Training, and has been teaching a range of movement disciplines for the past ten years.
Please make sure your bike is serviced and in good working order - the route is guided but you are responsible for your own bike safety.
