YOGA DANCE TWEENS SESSION IS FINALLY HERE!!!
But first, what is Yoga Dance???
Dance yoga is a style of yoga that combines fluid movement with music into a yoga practice. Yogis will perform asanas (poses) in rhythm with music that can be as simple as the beat of a drum or a chant, or, they can be as complex as full band music or a recording, like those produced by yoga DJs for festivals and classes.
What will our Yoga Dance Tweens Session be about??
Our yoga and dance fusion workshop will offer these tweens the freedom to move the way their body wants to, and also the encouragement to listen to their inner self.
It will be a chance to discover a different side of yoga and experiment with a new form of movement.
Through different rhythms, music and dance styles, we will explore the way our body (& mind!) moves and breathes, soothes and activates!
We will learn simple choreographies, create amazing ones, and play dance yoga games that inspire us...
We will learn how to breath and meditate through movement...
We will learn how we can be mindful through craft and stillness, designing and making our very own mala beads necklace (or bracelet) to take home...
If that sounds like your tween(s), I'd be absolutely honored and grateful to be part of their Yoga Dance journey!
Places will be limited so everyone can get my full attention... so don't delay and book your tween(s) now!
* Ages: 9 to 13 ("official" tweens are 10-12 but I always like to allow for some wriggle room ;) )
* What to bring: comfy clothes, water bottle, snacks for a short break before craft time
* Exchange: $44 for one... $80 for two! (sometimes it's nice to bring a friend or a sibling to share the fun!)
