Yoga for Dance
Event description
Join Vaishnavi for a morning yoga session! This workshop will include basic yoga and stretching (asana), breathing (pranayama), and a dance demonstration. Vaishnavi's yoga practice is informed by her mastery of the kuchipudi dance form; it's poses, stretches and breathing in the yoga support her dance practice. This yoga session would be beneficial for dancers as well as for overall well-being. It is suitable for all ages and beginners to yoga practice.
Vaishnavi is a kuchipudi dancer who has been dancing since the age of 3. She is a trained dancer and yogi from southern India with a passion for sharing this intricate, traditional dance form. Vaishnavi has won a number of awards for her dance practice and performed across the world.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please arrive on time - or better yet, a little early, as all sessions will start on time. There will be coffee and tea available while you wait, and you may even get to see the results of other workshops!
