Yoga for Youth | River Wharves Mackay | FREE EVENT| Thursday 4th and 11th April 4:15 - 5:15pm

We are proud to partner with Mackay Regional Council's Waterfront Team to bring Yoga to Youth to you for FREE these School Holidays!

Join us on Thursday 4th and 11th April for a FREE yoga session for teens aged 11 - 18 years old at the River Wharves in the City (River St). The class will be a 60 minute Vinyasa (flowing) Yoga Class exclusively for teens. This class is suitable for beginners through to advanced yoga students and is safe and supportive space for teens to explore the many benefits of yoga, to connect with other teens and more importantly, themselves. You do not need to be flexible or even 'enjoy' exercise to reap the many benefits of yoga - this class is about mindful movement, working our body in a different way, finding calm in the chaos of busy minds and connecting with ourselves. This class is delivered by Rebecca Cooper, an experienced secondary health and physical education teacher, fitness instructor, personal trainer and yoga teacher, with a passion for youth health and wellbeing.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to start time to settle in and set yourself up. Parents are not required to stay and we ask that parents do not stay on to spectate (pop down to the Riverside Markets or enjoy a walk along Blue Water Quay).

Location: River Wharves, 6 River Street, Mackay.

BYO: Yoga Mat and Waterbottle (I do have a few spare mats, so please let me know in advance if you need to borrow one)

Attire: Comfortable clothing for movement
