Welcome - I am Jess from Yoga Nest and I'm so glad you are here.

Please join me every Monday lunchtime for a 45 minute Yoga Nidra session to cultivate deep rest.

Yoga Nidra is a fully guided meditation practise which may include breath awareness, guided visualisation, and body scan.

Yoga Nidra is a wonderful way to unwind physically and mentally, helping us to achieve a deep, restful state. It encourages our body to let go of tension while our mind stays focused. It can feel like a re-set button for our nervous system.

This meditation is often done lying down with blankets and cushions for comfort.

What to bring:

Some mats will be available, but please bring a mat if you have one, as well as blankets, cushions, eye pillows - anything which will make your time as cozy as possible.

Experience:

Come as you are - you do not need any experience in yoga, breathwork or meditation. All are welcome. You cannot practise Yoga Nidra incorrectly.

Cost:

At Yoga Nest, we believe that wellness should be accessible to everyone, regardless of finances. That is why this class is 'pay as you feel' or donation based. If you are experiencing financial hardship at the moment, you are welcome to join for free. See ticket link for details.

A little about Yoga Nest:

At Yoga Nest, we offer mindful movement, meditation, and breathing practises in ways that are research-informed and trauma-aware to support people to move and be present in their bodies. We hope to create a safer, more accessible and supportive environment for all people, including those experiencing mental health challenges.

This is not about magically 'curing' your mental health with a yoga class, but about being able to practise yoga in a choice-focused and body-centred way, while limiting possible triggers in the environment and practise.
