    Event description

If the impending summer and a busy holiday season are starting to take their toll, offer your nervous system space to regulate, restore and reset with the practice of Yoga Nidra. Navigate the stressors of daily life with calm and grace and come back to your centre.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient yogic technique that encourages withdrawal from our sensory stimuli:  the environment around us; the pulls of our physical body; the thoughts of our mind, to bring us into a state of deep relaxation. When in this state we can begin to release held tension, impressions from the past and anxieties about the future. It helps us to retrain the nervous system and create new neural pathways for overall well being.

This session will introduce you to the practice of Yoga Nidra beginning with some gentle restorative movement to release tension from the body and then moving into Yoga Nidra, which translates as ‘yogic sleep’ so you leave feeling deeply rested and renewed.

    YOU WILL NEED:

    • Yoga mats, blocks, bolsters and blanket are available but you may bring your own
    • Water bottle
    • Journal
    • Wear clothing suitable for gentle movement
