This class offers a gentle restorative Hatha yoga series incorporating a meditative practice developed by Dr. Richard Miller. iRest is a system that promotes deep relaxation, and simultaneously greater awareness. Students will be introduced to the guiding principles of iRest: the default mode, focused awareness, concentration and presence.

Each class begins and ends with traditional iRest guided meditation. The class moves through a sequence of postures emphasizing stretching and flexibility, linked by breath, cultivating both physical and emotional strength and stability.

All levels are welcome, from those completely new to Yoga to experienced practitioners looking to refine their practice.

Students are encouraged to work at their own pace, honoring their body's needs while exploring the edges of their capacity.

Chris Davis received her Yoga teacher certification from Yoga Yoga Garden in San Francisco. She received her Level I and Advanced Instructor training from the iRest institute (iRest.org) studying with Dr. Richard Miller. Chris is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 34197) who practices with a mindfulness based cognitive behavioral orientation
