Yom Hashoah Commemoration 2025 | What was lost and what endures

Event description

Our theme this year, ‘What Was Lost and What Endures,’ reflects both the immense loss and destruction of the Holocaust, as well as the resilience and survival that followed.

The title draws inspiration from a line in Israel’s national anthem, Hatikvah (The Hope): “Od Lo Avda Tikvatenu” – “Our hope is not yet lost.” In many ways, it is this enduring hope that allowed so many to survive and persevere.

You are invited to gather with the Jewish community, to reflect on this theme and to remember the six million Jewish people who perished in the Shoah, the Holocaust.

If you have any queries before booking, please call the office on 9272 5566 or email community@jccv.org.au
