Yookamurra - Mallee Bioblitz 2024

Explore the wonders of the Mallee environment at Yookamurra Wildlife Sanctuary and play a part in scientific exploration.

Join us for a day in the field to learn more about fungi and other Mallee biodiversity. Contribute to scientific research by documenting your observations during a guided survey walk using iNaturalist.

Engage with experts as they share insights into Yookamurra Sanctuary's environmental management. Learn about the unique world of Mallee fungi, lichen, carpet pythons, and insects.

We look forward to seeing you in the field and working together to better understand our natural world!

Suitable for ages 6 and over. Moderate level of fitness is recommended for walking on uneven surfaces. We will adapt the day for all abilities where possible. 

Parking is limited to 20 cars at Yookamurra. Please carpool with friends if possible. Parking in Sedan and carpooling from there to Yookamurra is also an option.
