Description

Jhana Allan alchemises unwanted infatuation into warm, melodic country on her forthcoming single “You Got The Eyes”. Built around a central mandolin groove, the country ballad gently expands, steadily gathering texture and a warm folk-pop lift beneath Allan’s honeyed vocals. Her voice carries the weariness of someone who knows better but still can’t resist the pull. After imagining a gaze powerful enough to melt through glass and metal, she arrives at her own playfully defiant solution: sunglasses, every day and every night. What begins in enchantment and attraction ultimately becomes a journey towards boundary-setting and taking back her power.

That meeting point between vulnerability and resistance runs throughout Allan’s songwriting. Her voice is often described as soothing, but her lyrics can be raw, fierce and strikingly decisive. She writes about reaching for the unreachable, returning often to grief and resilience, rest and ambition, and the struggle to reclaim power within difficult emotional cycles. Mandolin is her principal songwriting instrument, while her rare ability to sing and play fiddle simultaneously brings another distinctive dimension to her live performances.

Originally from Uralla in the NSW Northern Tablelands and now based on Awabakal land, Allan began with classical violin before teaching herself mandolin while living in Melbourne. Her path has moved through Eastern European folk, trad jazz, punk, Americana and indie rock, including performing at Glastonbury Festival with The Woohoo Revue and supporting artists such as k.d. lang, Frente, Fred Smith, Lucie Thorne and Isobel Knight.

Jhana will be joined onstage by bassist Tim Merrikin and guitarist Adam Miller, plus a few more special guests.

Cat Mead is an Australian folkish singer-songwriter who loves to craft songs that draw you in with her honest lyrical story-telling, clear vocals and subtle humour.

After dabbling for years, Cat packed up her life in 2025 to go and play music in the UK. This lead to the release of her debut album ' Wanderers Lust' in 2026, which was recorded in the West Midlands with producer, Daniel Barrie.

With relatable songs filled with longing, need, joy, grief and rage she'll make you feel human again, and without a cliche in sight she won't beat around the bush in saying what she really means.

With influences like Nick Drake, Adrianne Lenker, The Corrs, Laura Marling, Josh Pyke and Garbage, it's music for those who feel deeply and who aren't afraid to show it.
