Artist Talk with Youlim Nam
Description
Join HB Studio for an evening of conversation with playwright and actor Youlim Nam, whose work explores identity, language, memory, and the creative possibilities of bilingual theatre.
Earlier this season, Nam presented New Year's Day (Sae Hae) as part of HB Studio's Residency Program. Building on that work, this artist talk offers an opportunity to go behind the scenes of her creative process, examining the artistic decisions involved in writing and staging bilingual plays, developing new work, and creating theatre that bridges cultures and languages.
Moderated by multidisciplinary artist and Thinking Dance Executive Director Miryam Coppersmith, the conversation will explore craft, collaboration, and the role of language in shaping performance and storytelling.
Whether you're a theatre artist, writer, student, or simply curious about contemporary playmaking, this free event offers an engaging look at the creative process behind new work in development.
